At T.A.R.A. Rescue, our mission is simple yet powerful: One by one… Until there are none.

As a non-profit, no-kill, foster-based rescue, we are dedicated to securing loving, permanent homes for homeless pets across Hoke and Cumberland Counties, as well as the surrounding areas in central North Carolina. Every animal we save receives the essential care they deserve, including spaying or neutering, microchipping, rabies vaccinations, and all age-appropriate vaccinations—services covered by a modest adoption fee of $175 for dogs and $120 for cats.

Our work focuses on rescuing animals from shelters in Cumberland, Hoke, and Moore counties, giving each one a second chance at life. While we cannot accept owner surrenders or public drop-offs due to legal and logistical limitations, our commitment to helping homeless and abandoned animals remains unwavering.
